This is my first manga book. The illustrations were superb, and the horror, the disturbing imagery, was very well done. However, the main issue for me was with the plot and the characters. I felt a disconnection between the illustrations and the story right from the start. As the story progressed towards the end, I felt like the illustrations and the story finally aligned, making that final part a perfect resolution. I just wish that the entire book was like that.
