It was nice getting one last Bridgerton story, especially one centered on Violet. She's honestly been one of the best characters throughout the entire series, so I was excited to finally see her love story with Edmund.
That said, I wanted more. The romance itself felt a little rushed because the novella jumps through different moments of their lives rather than fully developing their relationship. The glimpses we got were sweet, and it was easy to see why Violet loved Edmund so deeply, but I never felt as emotionally invested as I wanted to.
Overall, it was a cute and nostalgic send-off to the Bridgerton world. I enjoyed learning more about Violet and Edmund, but I finished wishing there had been more time spent on their actual romance instead of brief snapshots. A nice addition to the series, just not a particularly memorable one.
