Virga is a planet-sized balloon that hangs alone in the cosmos, filled with air, water and floating rocks. The humans who inhabit Virga must build their own fusion suns and rope-lashed town-wheels that are spun for gravity. In the worlds beyond this amazing environment, most humans live within Artificial Nature, their every whim made real in a virtual world. But Virgas creator rejected that life, choosing to build a culture where wooden ships and foot-pedaled bikes ply the skies, gun fights and sword duels settle disputes and drifting nation-states literally collide.

In SUN OF SUNS, young Hayden Griffin has arrived in the land of Slipstream with a murderous goal in mind: to take revenge for the deaths of his parents. His target is Admiral Fanning, the head of the fleet that seized his nation years ago. And his life with pirates does not bode well for the admirals chances.
