In a world where power and oppression shape every aspect of life, the tension is palpable as a new chapter of struggle unfolds. Characters are intricately woven into a narrative that explores their deepest fears and aspirations, driving them to confront their oppressors in ways that are both heart-wrenching and exhilarating. Each decision carries weight, and the stakes grow higher as allies become enemies and love blossoms amidst despair.

As the storyline progresses, themes of revenge and resilience take center stage. The protagonists find themselves caught in a web of deceit and betrayal, forcing them to narrow their focus and embrace the unexpected twists that fate throws their way. Friendships are tested and loyalties questioned, pulling readers deeper into a whirlwind of emotion and intrigue.

Really good, once again great plot, pacing, and writing style. A lot of scenes that we were robbed of in the movies, specifically before the games

I felt like although I loved the story, the writing with a little off from the last book. it was almost as if her editor made her cut out parts of the book because it was too long.

It's been over a decade since I first read this series. I picked the series up again because I finally got my hands on copies of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and Sunrise on the Reaping. This book is just as good as the first time I read it. It's slightly less action-packed than the first book but boy isn't it more emotional. There's more trauma, more angst and Finnick Odair. I'm just glad this is a reread and I can jump straight into the next book after that cliffhanger!
