Reviews
Spoiler3.5 stars - not quite a 4, but 3 feels harsh. At first, I really enjoyed the story and characters. You're thrown into a tense situation, it's been over a year since the island has been quarantined and the students and teachers have had to create a "new normal". Their bodies have changed in unimaginable ways, they've lost friends and struggle to survive. The first half is great, but the second half feels rushed and unfinished. There are loose ends with no explanation, which is odd given the main characters are searching for the truth. The story becomes about the journey and experiences, which isn't "enough". It's a book that leaves you wanting much more.
