Where to begin? Emmet and Billie matched each others energies perfectly and helped to heal each other one step at a time. The yearning in this one was perfect. I love forbidden romance and Ruth writes it so well! I absolutely adored the way that Emmet fell for Blake as well as Billie and took on the caring role to become the father figure she needed. As always, I loved the integration of the story with the side characters and the development of their stories so you can see how they’re going outside of their own books. The teaser in the epilogue of this book has me so excited for what Ruth has coming!! Would recommend this book endlessly, definitely give this one, and the whole series, a read if you haven’t yet!!
