No início eu achei que não iria gostar, na verdade estava cogitando até em abandonar. Mas, em mais ou menos 30% o livro começou a me prender muito.
A Eveline é uma protagonista forte, inteligente e interessante. Então, foi legal acompanhar ela.
Ela e o Nicholas fizeram um par com muita química, adorei ver a troca de controle entre eles. Ver quem comandava mais.
A situação dos dois me passou muito aquela vibe de romance proibido, ao ponto de eu achar que não teria uma solução porque os dois eram de lados completamente opostos. Então, imaginei que quando a Eveline descobrisse tudo não seria uma situação fácil. Teve o drama que eu esperava, e eu digo drama de uma forma boa porque entregou intensidade emocional. Gostei de ver o Nicholas sofrendo (não porque ele mereceu, mas sim porque gosto de ver o homem sofrendo pela garota kkkkk).
Entretanto, eu enrolaria mais com o ódio da Eveline. Esperava mais drama dessa parte. Acho que ela tecnicamente perdoou rápido. Lógico que o Nicholas mereceu o perdão, até por causa do que ele faz com ele no final, mas não vou mentir, queria ver a Eveline fazendo ele suar um pouco mais.
O final foi bem legal, foi uma solução perfeita na medida do possível. Mas, fiquei com aquele gostinho de querer mais. Acho que terminou no melhor momento, poderia mostrar um pouco mais dos dois se reconectando, ou um epilógo com pulo temporal. Uma pena que não vou ver mais do futuro desse casal.
Essa série tem livros completamente individuais, não precisa ler um para entender o outro porque nem referências tem. Por isso, eu estava pensando em ver as sinopses das sequências e só ler os livros que me interessarem. Porém, li os três primeiros livros dessa série e gostei dos três, então acho que vou dar uma chance para todas as sequências.

Want a book that keeps you up all night? This may just be it! It's been a while since I've stayed up until 2am to just finish a book because I couldn't put it down. Nick and Eveline are just absolutely wonderful. Their connection can be felt from the beginning and being thrown together in close proximity only enhances that. The enemies to lovers is strong with this one. Eveline and Nick both hate who each other is, and they hate that they have these feelings towards each other. The hate sex is unreal. And the gun scene
I really really enjoyed this book. I did enjoy Hooked more (I'm also a huge Captain Hook girl.... who wouldn't be???) I loved the plot and the criminal/undercover FBI moment. Also... THE SPICE?!?!? Phenomenal. Out of this world hot!!!! It kept me wanting more and more. In fact, I was just reading the first chapter to see if I wanted to read it yet and then I was sucked in and on chapter 8 in no time... It is a very quick read because it really just sucks you right in and keeps you on edge of what will happen next. Plus the Wizard of Oz easter eggs are so well done and I loved it.
