View AllI like the idea of the book, and was super excited to get into it, but I didn’t, and I struggled to finish it. I felt like there was too many character povs to really get attached to any one person and build a sort of connection to the story through them. It left me feeling like there was never a solid resolution to a lot of their own personal journeys. Also a lot of story that would be very character building was skipped over in order to bring you to the larger end goal. When it was done, I feel like it was all almost rushed. But if you like dystopian type books and don’t mind a little bit of fantasy coupled with lots of different angles to a story it should be a good read for you.
Am Anfang war es schwer beim Buch zu bleiben, irgendwie hatte mich die Story noch nicht so mitgerissen. Zum Schluss konnte ich es nicht mehr weglegen.
Well lol probably not the best book to read during #covid-19 but then again it was quite interesting comparing reality to fiction. This storyline kept me gripped to this book, I read as much as I could when I got the chance. (my employment is an essential service) now the one thing that really got me into the story is that the world is based on the same goddesses in the Guardian Trilogy. My first Nora Roberts series I read. This book had me feeling every emotion that you can... I cried, cheered, sighed. I can't wait to read book 2...next on my TBR list.
