I think I liked Electric Idol a lot more than I did Neon Gods. This book is intense with a heavy plot but there are numerous sweet moments between Eros and Psyche. In Neon Gods, I was aware of the general story (if you don't know the story of Hades and Persephone, where have you been?) but I didn't know the story of Eros and Psyche in great detail. However, I don’t think my not knowing the ins and outs of their story took away from this reading experience. All in all, I love Robert's socialite interpretation of the mythology.
