View AllUpdate: While I'll still keep this at three stars, I definitely enjoyed it more during my second read.I can definitely see the potential for this to be a great series in the future, and I will definitely be giving the next book a chance, but this one did not really grab me until the very end. There were some really interesting concepts and bits of backstory, but overall, I felt disconnected from this story.
