In a desolate world where the remnants of civilization intertwine with a stark landscape, a lone gunslinger embarks on a perilous journey. Driven by an insatiable quest to find the mysterious figure known only as the Man in Black, he navigates a realm steeped in danger and darkness. This gunslinger, a man shaped by loss and a burdensome past, carries not just his weapon but the weight of his moral dilemmas and existential questions.

As he traverses this eerie land, encounters with intriguing and often unsettling characters challenge his resolve and purpose. The story unfolds with a blend of suspense and philosophical musings, as the gunslinger grapples with his fate in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred. Update: While I'll still keep this at three stars, I definitely enjoyed it more during my second read.I can definitely see the potential for this to be a great series in the future, and I will definitely be giving the next book a chance, but this one did not really grab me until the very end. There were some really interesting concepts and bits of backstory, but overall, I felt disconnected from this story.
