The dynamic between the three is electric, full of tension, trust, and betrayal, and I couldn’t get enough.The stakes felt huge, and the twists and turns kept me guessing right up until the end. By the final chapter, I was equal parts breathless and desperate for the sequel. If you love gothic fantasy with morally grey characters, court intrigue, and a heroine who straddles life and death, The Foxglove King is for you. It’s dark, decadent, and absolutely unforgettable.

The beginning was a little slow but what book isn't when you're introducing a new world? However, once the action started I was hooked until the end! I'm getting Serpent & Dove vibes but if Serpent & Dove had a love triangle. Well, a hinted-at love triangle anyways. So if you enjoyed S&D, you'll more than likely enjoy this book. I love the whole concept of the book. The world, the characters, the magic. It was definitely up my street. This is the first book I've read by this author and I've got to say, I want to read more. I've heard that this is going to be a duology which has me extremely excited! Do I recommend The Foxglove King? Yes, definitely. It's an amazing book to get your fantasy fix from! The cover is absolutely beautiful as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Foxglove King completely pulled me in with its intricate world building. Hannah Whitten has crafted a setting that feels rich, eerie, and immersive, making it easy to get lost in the pages. While the book leans heavily into politics and religion, I found myself utterly absorbed rather than overwhelmed. Every alliance, deception, and revelation kept me on my toes.The subtle love triangle was handled masterfully, nothing felt forced or overdone, and by the end, I was so tangled in the web of intrigue that I wasn’t even sure who to trust or what was truly "good" or "bad." That ambiguity made for such an engaging read.A fantastic start to the series, and I can't wait to see where it goes next!
