Wow. The Nightshade God absolutely wrecked me… in the best way. This was such a powerful, emotional end to the series. I’ve loved watching Lore’s journey from the very beginning, but this book hit different. What I really appreciated was how raw and real it all felt. It was gut-wrenching yet beautiful. Bits of hope, loyalty, and love that shine through all the darkness. I honestly teared up more than once. That said, the pacing did feel a little slow at times. Some parts dragged just a bit, and I found myself wishing things would move forward faster. But even that felt true to the story in a way. Lore’s journey is heavy. It didn’t ruin the experience for me at all, just made me wish for a slightly tighter edit to match the urgency of the plot. The worldbuilding stays strong (the magic, the gods, the Fount), and the emotional stakes just keep climbing. It’s dark, romantic, and a little brutal, but there’s this thread of beauty running through it that kept me turning the pages way too late at night.Overall, The Nightshade God gave me everything I wanted in a finale… heartbreak, healing, high stakes, and a satisfying end. I’m really going to miss this world.
