Description
As he absorbs the memories of joy, pain, love, and loss, Jonas grapples with the stark contrast between his community's bland existence and the vibrant emotions he now understands. This awakening ignites a fierce inner conflict, challenging everything he has known. He starts to question the values of conformity and the cost of his society’s tranquility, ultimately leading him to confront the truths underlying their seemingly perfect world.
Jonas's quest for individuality and genuine human experience becomes a poignant exploration of freedom and the moral implications of a life devoid of authentic choices. In his struggle to choose a path different from that dictated by his community, he discovers the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of embracing both joy and sorrow in the journey of life.

View AllIt was a quick ad easy read for me.I really like it.Maybe because It was easy to read for me,But at the same time I enjoyed reading it as well.It is about a boy called Jonas who lives in a community where everything is the same.He doesn't know anything about other life styles except the one he knows.Until Giver makes his eyes open to a new way of life. This book makes me think that we have lots of things, even very simple things in our lives, but since we got used to them,we don't know how important they are, or simply we don't enjoy them. Things such as love, friendship, every kind of feeling, ability to decide for yourself, nature, different colors, even to be different is very wonderful sometimes!
