As early as 3000 years ago, the leader of the Bo people's ancestors helped the Zhou Dynasty overthrow the Yin Dynasty, and was granted a fief, k now as the Bo Hou.The area where they lived in the mountainous regions of Sichuan and Yunnan was called the Bo Hou country.
