View AllI'm reading the novels in order because I loved the Harry Bosch series. And I love these books so far. I didn't want to take a break from Bosch's character, but having the advantage of reading this series 30 years after the books were starting to be published, we know the characters reappear in future novels. This was a super easy and fast read. The beginning spooked me a bit, especially after reading Stephen King's intro. One plot is child pornography, and being sensitive to it, I dont think it was graphic. There are twists and surprises. I liked McEvoy's character. I look forward to his story continuing. This is the 5th book in the Bosch Universe and I'd say my 2nd or 3rd favorite so far. Onto book #6!!
