The bustling metropolis, known as the Big Smoke, becomes the backdrop for a chilling game of cat and mouse. As the body count rises, he must navigate the treacherous waters of urban crime, where every corner holds shadows and secrets. The pressure mounts as he realizes that he is not just hunting for a killer but also battling the demons of his past.

Reviews
A 5 star Ian Rankin book. Well deserved. Rankin ticks all the boxes plus a great finale and plenty of anti Scottish attitude from the London cops. One of them gets what coming to him and I cheered loudly at that bit.
