View AllI read this inadvertently prior to the first book [b:Earthly Joys|161850|Earthly Joys|Philippa Gregory|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1347742771s/161850.jpg|837847]. I really enjoyed this book and loved learning about this historical period.SpoilerI'm not sure how true to fact the method by which the Tradescant's rarities ended up in the hands of Mr Ashmole but either way Ashmole ended up with them and created the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. After reading Earthly Joys I popped in to the museum and there is some mention of the Tradescants plus their portraits hang in the lower ground floor exhibition (I am not sure that any of their rarities remain though).
