Reviews

First read: 1/29/16 I want to give this book more than 5 stars because it not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. And I had pretty high expectations.

As with all of Sanderson's Cosmere, I thoroughly enjoyed this setting and the characters. Tress is a great young adult character with her growth excellently executed through the progression of the novel and the rest of our cast was filled with a variety of interesting individuals. I appreciated the inclusion of a Deaf and disabled character and the lovely sentiment of the book's lesson. Unfortunately, I found our narrator's rambling metaphors and similies and their vocabulary to constantly throw me out of the world.
