Description

In a world where the power of the Sand Masters is essential to survival, Kenton's struggle becomes increasingly perilous. Battling against the tides of political intrigue and a fractured alliance, he faces not only impending threats but also the weight of unfulfilled expectations. The burden of leadership presses down on him as he seeks to unify the Masters amidst the chaos that surrounds them.

As external forces close in, Kenton must learn to harness creativity and strategy in his fight to maintain order. His journey is fraught with challenges, testing his resolve and determination. The delicate balance of power among the Sand Masters teeters on the brink of collapse, and Kenton finds himself navigating treacherous waters where trust is scarce and betrayal lurks in every shadow.

The relationships he forges are vital, yet fragile, as he seeks assistance from those who may have their own agendas. Allies can quickly become enemies, and Kenton must discern whom to trust while grappling with his own limitations. His growth as a leader and as an individual becomes imperative as he confronts not just external threats, but also his own insecurities and fears.

As tensions mount and destinies intertwine, the stakes soar ever higher. Kenton realizes that the true challenge lies within himself, forcing him to redefine what it means to be powerful in a world where strength takes many forms. The fate of the Sand Masters and their legacy hangs in the balance, awaiting the courage of one who must rise above the ground beneath his feet.

Definitely Sanderson's weakest work in the cosmere. It was difficult to power through the three volumes.

Much better than the 2nd volume. I preferred the art style in this one too. Some visually fantastic fights.
