An absolute powerhouse of a novella. Generational trauma, class warfare, and feminine rage come together to haunt not only the house, but the village and its people. Fucking beautiful.Really wish I could read this one in the original Spanish, as I bet it hits even harder, but the translation here was gorgeous and lyrical and bleak. A very easy 5 stars.
