Descripción
Using the Victoria school system in Australia as a case study, the authors contend that schools pursuing effectiveness are doing so mostly in terms of cost and student outcome. This focus has been too narrow, and the time is ripe for looking at classrooms, rather than just at the schools, as it is in the classrooms that the greatest differences are to be made in improving and measuring student outcome.
